What to do with your baby in Sidcup
Congratulations! Your baby has arrived and you now want to get out and about with them. But what to do? Whether you’re looking for local classes or some things to do together that aren’t just about them, here are some top tips…
1) BABY MASSAGE
I can’t recommend Little Ducks Baby Massage enough. We did it when my little one was about four months old but you can start from as young as 6-8 weeks! Leeann is a wonderful teacher - thorough but patient - and all normal baby behaviour is welcome in class so don’t worry if you get hit by a poonami mid-lesson! Find out more here.
2) BABY SENSORY
We attended the Baby Sensory classes at the North Cray Centre from around 3 months to 1 year old and loved it. Be prepared to learn moves and lyrics to songs you’ll NEVER be able to get out of your head and hopefully even make some friendships with other new parents. Find out more here.
3) BABY CINEMA
The Castle Cinema in Sidcup has special Parent and Baby screenings (although you don’t have to be a parent as such, just caring for one) which offer lower volume, better lighting, and noise and moving round is totally expected. Find out more here.
4) SING WITH YOUR BABY
MotherEase offers sessions for mums to gather and sing with their babies in Dartford and Shooters Hill. It’s a great place to connect with other mums as well as your little one - and there’s cake too! Find out more here.
Sidcup Library also holds ‘Rhyme Time’ sessions on Friday mornings at 10am in term-time. Click here for more information on other baby and toddler events at Bexley Libraries.
